My computer thinks a game is installed even though it isnt there, how can i change the regedit to show its not

Lol, yeah a little hard to put in a question, how do i change my regedit of a game to saythat it doesnt actually exist. I cant install a game caus my computer thinks its installed, but i cant uninstall it, caus its not there for me to uninstall in the first place. My computer thinks a game is installed even though it isnt there, how can i change the regedit to show its not
Well, I am always hesitant to suggest anyone tinkering with their registry. But if you are feeling bold, here is what you want to do.

First and foremost, BACK UP YOUR CURRENT REGISTRY and know where you saved it. If you mess it up bad enough you will need to import the registry from the Recovery console, so you will need to know the exact path you saved it in.

Next, type %26quot;regedit%26quot; in the Run Dialog.

Hit control + f to bring up the %26quot;Find%26quot; dialog, then just search for the name of the game. You can pretty much delete all the instances of the program within the registry. Just take care when you do it so as not to delete the wrong key.My computer thinks a game is installed even though it isnt there, how can i change the regedit to show its not

Open Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs. If it's there, then tell it to remove it. This should work, but if not...

Open C:\Program Files and find the directory for the game or company that made it. Simply delete that directory and any desktop/start menu icons, and there will be no trace of the game on your computer. This should also work, but if not...

Open your registry and delete the game from it. Unfortunately, I forgot how to do that. This should also also work, but if not...

Call the manufacturers and ask them for help. This should also also also work, but if not...

Backup any necessary files and restore your operating system to its original status. Reinstall any programs. This should also also also also work, but if not...

TRY TO GET A REFUND FOR THE GAME. This shouldn't work, use it as a last resort. My computer thinks a game is installed even though it isnt there, how can i change the regedit to show its not
