How to switch D; drive to C: drive and vica versa?????? I have a laptop?

A long time ago, i changed the D drive into the C drive and now i forgot how to change them back. You go on like regedit or something like that and then you change the values.

I also did some **** with the Z drive but i dont even know what that is!!!!

Please just tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How to switch D; drive to C: drive and vica versa?????? I have a laptop?
i dunno if you can change the drive letter of your operating system without doing it in windows setup. but to change drive letters either run COMPMGMT.MSC (from the run prompt) or right click on my computer and click manage. then click on the Disk Management node on the tree to the left. Right click your drive, click change drive letter.

I'm running vista ultimate and just tried to change my OS drive letter from C and it says %26quot;Windows cannot modify the drive letter of your volume. This may happen if your volume is a system of boot volume, or has page files%26quot;.

In this case, you may have to do a reinstall of the OS to change the system drive (but then again im not sure). If it's just a boot drive, change the location of your boot.ini file, making sure you change the startup drive in BIOS to the drive you just moved the boot file to. If its a page file issue, change the location of your page file to a different drive then try.
