You haven't provided enough detail to be able to answer the question, which is probably why you don't have much luck with getting answers.

I am going to assume that you are using Internet Explorer on a Windows XP system.

I am assuming that you want to change the home page. I am assuming that the problem you are experiencing is that your anti-virus prevents the home page from being changed.

You will need to find the program that is blocking the change and set it to allow the change temporarily. I use F-Secure and I have to unlock Internet Shield to change the home page, then lock it again when I am done.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know:

What browser you are using - Internet Explorer, FireFox, Mozilla, Opera, AOL, etc. are all browsers

What Anti-Virus and firewall software you are using

Exactly what the error messages are that you get when you try to make the change, including the title on the message window.

This should give a start point, and we can work from there.I keep putting this question out there and cannot get an answer,,, my yahoo browswer does not change when I ty
You can cheat a little bit by editing the shortcut that you use to launch your browser.

If firefox right click the FIREFOX shortcut and and add your home page to the end of the TARGET.

If IE right click the IE shortcut and and add your home page to the end of the TARGET.

ex.

If the computer is new, you must registered it before you can change the home page.
