How can you log back into Windows XP Home SP3 after the activation period has expired?

My activation period has expired, and I tried a bunch of things, and ended up accidentally deleting the WPAEvents file in the Registry Editor. Now, when try and log on, instead of it going to the %26quot;Activation Complete%26quot; thingy (I went into regedit and changed some stuff so it would say I activated because I thought it would work), it starts logging in, shows a blank background (just the wallpaper because explorer.exe isn't running), and then logs out.How can you log back into Windows XP Home SP3 after the activation period has expired?
Try this:

Make sure the boot order is changed so that it boots first from your cd/dvd ROM. (Do this in the BIOS). Then, put your %26quot;other%26quot; Windoze XP disk in the cd and turn your computer on. Once it loads from the disk, it will ask you if you want to %26quot;Install Windoze XP%26quot; or %26quot;Repair Windoze XP%26quot;. Select to repair. Then let it do it's thing and try to get back in after the repair and reboot. You may be able to use the activation code from that other disk to activate your current copy. It wouldn't hurt to try.How can you log back into Windows XP Home SP3 after the activation period has expired?
You can download a new copy of Windows XP and do a clean installation and from there you can access your old files in c:/windows.old and transfer over files. Otherwise your a bit S.O.L.How can you log back into Windows XP Home SP3 after the activation period has expired?
