Killvbs.vbs error - Windows XP wont log in!?

I had that script file error cannot find %26quot;C:\WINDOWS\system32\killvbs.vbs%26quot; every time i turned on the computer.

I followed someone's post on how to fix it on another thread where it told me:

Open Registry Editor. Click Start%26gt;Run, type REGEDIT, then press Enter.

In the left panel, double-click the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE%26gt;SOFTWARE%26gt;Microsoft%26gt;?br>
NT%26gt;CurrentVersion%26gt;Winlogon

In the right panel, locate the entry:

Userinit = %26quot;%System%\wscript.... %26quot;%system%\killVBS.vbs%26quot;

Change entry to: %System%\userinit.exe

Now when i turn on the computer, my desktop background shows up, but then it goes straight back to the Welcome screen and wont login.

After a few times, it shows %26quot;Administrator%26quot; but when you click on it, it'll say %26quot;loading your settings%26quot;, shows desktop background then goes back to the welcome screen with %26quot;saving your settings%26quot;. And ends with the Administrator again.

Is there a way to fix this? Can i reverse what i've entered in the Regedit?? Its driving me mad!Killvbs.vbs error - Windows XP wont log in!?
Can you boot into safe mode? You could possibly edit the registry from there.
