Windows XP Icons on desktop not appearing?

I wonder if anyone can help me with a very annoying problem.



I have a Windows XP Professional (SP2) desktop PC, basically no icons are appearing on the desktop. I am able to change the desktop background etc.



I have a feeling this maybe a regedit solution but no idea how.



Can anyone help?

Follow this step:

1. Right click on your desktop.

2. Go to 'arrange icons by'.

3. Check the tick on 'Show desktop icon'.

Nope, you don't need to do a regedit.



Right-Click on the desktop then there should be a %26quot;Show Desktop Icons%26quot; in the %26quot;Arange Icons By%26quot; menu.
