For some reason I can't log into windows xp everytime I sign on I get logged off . . . how do I fix this?

I tried the regedit fix that online where you change out wsaupdater.exe to userinit.exe . . .

but that didn't help . . . although I am able to access safe mode . . . but at this point I have no idea what to do now . . .For some reason I can%26039;t log into windows xp everytime I sign on I get logged off . . . how do I fix this?
