Exe files open with one program?

while opening an exe file, my brother selected the open with option and selected MS word and i guess the always open with option was selected and now every exe program opens with word and thus don't work.

I have searched for solutions like the regedit.exe but that doesn't open and i have no idea how to fix it. the open with option no longer appears so i can't change it that way.

Try this:



1. Click the Start-%26gt;Run menu item.

2. In the text box, enter



cmd



and press Enter.



3. In the “Black Box”, enter



ASSOC .exe=exefile



and press Enter.

You must be talking about something other than .exe's. You cant change what exe's open with under windows settings.
