There must be a setting somewhere, maybe in %26quot;services%26quot; or msconfig that needs to be changed. NOT the %26quot;easy%26quot; (not) answer of %26quot;reinstall%26quot;. Reinstall what? All of XP? Every program? Not an option!Asking for %26quot;regedit%26quot; crashes %26quot;explorer.exe%26quot; -- (will not accept usual %26quot;reinstall%26quot; answer) -- how can I fix it?
it's a virus sign, how about buy a good antivirus http://www.symantec.com/ or http://www.mcafee.com/ or you can use gpedit to show regedit or fix the problem, but it's only momentarily, until you Reinstall the XP.
win key + R %26gt; type gpedit.msc
