Windows XP Startup and Shut down.?

How do I have a faster start up and shutdown for my computer, I've heard u have to make a change in the registry Editor, using regedit .Any help ?Windows XP Startup and Shut down.?

Windows XP Startup and Shut down.?
Well, it could be your ram and or space on harddrive. You may also want to do a defragment which you can do by going to apps and then to system tools.
